The Crowne Plaza hotel and conference center represents the first phase of Copenhagen Towers, an integrated hotel and office complex in Ørestad, located south of Copenhagen's historic city center.  

In addition to a cluster of new building structures, the work involved the conceptual design of reception areas, a restaurant, bar, lounge areas, and a flexible ballroom space for up to 800 people.  These common spaces are characterized by expressive, unfinished "V"-columns, which bear the guest room tower above while articulating and defining the street-level common spaces.

Guest rooms are fitted with custom furniture designed and produced locally.  Bathrooms are pre-fabricated off-site to architectural specifications as self-contained units, then dropped into place as the building is erected.

This hotel has the distinction of being the most "green" hotel in the world, due primarily to extensive photovoltaic cells integrated into the guest tower facade system as well as sustainable operational practices.
