The point of departure for this on-campus university café was the existing architecture itself: a two-story vaulted space of glass and exposed concrete, located on the ground floor of a new dormitory building. Rather than concealing the raw beauty of the shell, the design introduces only minimal insertions — a sales and barista counter, a rear counter with cabinets, and utilitarian furnishings — allowing the volume and materiality of the space to remain the primary architectural statement.

Back-of-house spaces include a restroom, commercial kitchen, and storage.
